Commission deadlocks on acting-mayor selection

Cynthiana City Commissioners were unable to agree on a selection of mayor pro tem at a Monday special meeting. Current Mayor Pro Tem Jack Keith and returning commissioner Jimmy New deadlocked with incoming commissioners Amanda Moore and Mark Mattmiller on the selection. The commission was acting in the absence of Mayor Jim Brown, who is recovering from a Christmas Eve stroke. Details of this story in Thursday's Cynthiana Democrat.
