On Friday night the very first football playoff game in the new stadium took place between the Harrison County Thorobreds and the West Jessamine Colts. The Breds entered the game with a 5-5 record, while the Colts were 8-2, with losses only to Boyle County and Lexington Catholic.

The sparse crowd was barely settled in before West Jessamine went on a seven-play, 63-yard drive resulting in a 23-yard touchdown run by Colt halfback Parker Ball. The Colt’s were on top 7-0 with barely over three minutes gone by.

The Breds entered the game with Eric Lewis at the quarterback spot due to the loss of starter Joe Korona, who suffered a knee injury the previous week against Covington Holmes.
