The Welcoming Climate Committee for Harrison County Tomorrow has taken the results of your survey seriously.
In the nine-page report (front and back) the number one comment were the two words - clean up. This phrase alone was utilized over 140 times in the survey. Other related terms were beautification, restore, neat aesthetic community, attractive county and town, community pride, nicer superficial appearance of buildings, spruce up, reclaim and so forth. The people have spoken so now we need to follow up on the words with action.
Two dates have been scheduled to allow volunteers a choice of days to help our community help itself. With more volunteers, more will be accomplished in those two days. Cleaners can work as part of a team or individually as we all strive toward the common goal of a cleaner city. Each youth group will be required to have a responsible adult leader to supervise them as safety is paramount. No youth group can be allowed to participate without an adult leader.
