Skateboarders are on their way to having a skateboard park.
“This is a great plan,” SWAP (Skaters With a Purpose) sponsor Mark Sims told commissioners at Tuesday evening’s city commission meeting.
The plan will include a concrete skating area to be built at Flat Run Veterans Park, between the Handy House barns and the high school soccer field.
“This location will isolate them, but won’t segregate them,” Sims told magistrates at Tuesday evening’s fiscal court meeting.
