A special Christmas program will be presented at Calvary Assembly, 325 Webster (across from the high school) on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 10:45 a.m. Children’s Choir and skit “The Real Christmas Story.” Youth special music “Christmas Bells” by Casting Crowns and drama. Adult ensemble special music also. Free gift for all first time guests. Candy for the kids. A Christmas banquet with all the trimmings, will follow the service in the gym (free of charge). Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion at Calvary Assembly will be Monday, Dec. 24 from 6-6:45 p.m. During this busy season, pause and come worship with us. Christmas carols, short sermon, special music, communion and candlelight caroling. Everyone is welcome.

Church of the Advent, Episcopal, welcomes its new priest, Father Paul Brannock-Wanter.
Advent Season is now here and would like to invite all to services on Sunday morning.  Father Paul is leading us in a Sunday School class at 10 a.m. and worship service is at 11 a.m. There will be two Christmas Eve services at 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The Cynthiana Christian Church, 202 N. Main St., invites the community to their Candlelight Communion service on Monday, Dec. 24 at 11 p.m. This year, the 30 plus year traditional service will be preceded by a 20-minute candlelight Christmas concert by the church’s Bel-Lair Hand Bell Choir at 10:30 p.m. These quiet and worshipful services will emphasize with their devotional nature and candlelight, the meaningful peace of the Christmas season, as well as share the love to be found at the Lord’s Table for all believers in the Christ Child.
Special music will be provided by the church’s choir under the direction of Pam Henson, in addition to the hand bell choir and others. Conducted by Dr. Larry Bishop and Dr. Tim Teater, the services are gifts of love to Cynthiana and Harrison County given by the Cynthiana Christian Church, “A People Who Care.” May all who come be blessed in the quietness of the historic sanctuary, decorated and lighted with Christmas hope, love, peace and joy.

On Dec. 24 from 6-7 p.m., Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 205 N. Locust St., will be celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All who wish to come and celebrate this special service are welcome.

Candlelight Service
On Sunday, Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. there will be a candlelight service at Elmarch United Methodist Church, 221 Old Lair Road, Cynthiana.
Pastor Jeff Jackson and the Elmarch family invite all to come and celebrate the birthday of the King, Jesus Christ, for a night of candlelight, special music, and fellowship.

On Dec. 23, regular morning service times will be 10 a.m. for Sunday School and 11 a.m. for preaching. At 6 p.m. the annual Christmas play will be presented.
On Dec. 24, members and visitors will meet at 7 p.m. for a Candlelight service at the church.
On Dec. 30, Paul Stamper, former minister at Central Christian, will be speaking at 2:30 as we celebrate his 85th birthday.

Richland Baptist Church will be having its Christmas program on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. The program will be a celebration of song and scripture presented by the children of the church. Friends and neighbors in the community are invited to come and celebrate.
The church is located at 1309 Richland Road, approximately 12 miles north of Cynthiana, two miles off US 27 N on the Richland Road.

“The Hour of Power” Radio Ministry, aired weekly on Saturday mornings on 90.7 FM (The Wind), at 10-11 a.m.
The Rev. Don Fryman will bring a message each week along with special music by various singers across Harrison County and surrounding counties.

Cynthiana NA Group Hope for Tomorrow meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. at St. James AME Church, 312 W. Pleasant St. Annex. Speaker meeting last Thursday of each month.
