A community Christmas sing will be held Sunday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at Calvary Assembly Church, 325 Webster. Various churches will have representatives singing. There will also be congregational singing of Christmas carols. Bring finger foods and desserts for fellowship after the program.
The event is sponsored by the Harrison County Ministerial Association. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The HarriCyn Youth will be having their third annual Crafts and Caroling, hosted at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, on Saturday, Dec. 7 starting at 11:30 a.m. The theme is “Jesus Loves you Snow Much.” We will be making snowmen to pass out to the residents of Cedar Ridge and Parkside nursing homes.It’s a family friendly atmosphere so bring your kids and the whole family.


Oakwood Baptist Church will be hosting The Union Associational Youth Rally on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. All youth in the community are invited to attend.
A powerful drama, The Day After Christmas, will be presented. Refreshments, door prizes and activities will be provided.
The Day After Christmas is a portrait of the homeless and what Christmas should reflect. The drama will be presented also on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. for the community. Donations of socks, gloves, hats and canned food are accepted at each presentation.


Covenant Presbyterian Church will celebrate Christmas with a Christmas Candlelight service featuring music from “Classic Noel’s: Classical Masterworks with Christmas Carols” arranged by John Purifoy .
