CENTRAL CHRISTIAN

Angel Food Ministries

The Angel Food Ministries program announces dates for orders and pick-up at Central Christian Chruch located on the corner of Second Street and Riggs Avenue.

Dec. 3 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to place orders.

Dec. 5 from 9:30-11 a.m. to place orders.

Pick-up on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 10:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m.

INDIAN CREEK

December 6, 6:30 p.m. The Indian Creek Christmas Choir will be presenting the cantata, “O, Come Let Us Adore Him” in the Old Brick Meeting House.  The public is invited to attend.  There will also be a reception following the performance in the Life Center.  Reception will be hosted by the ladies of the Evening Circle.

December 10, the SonShine Circle will be celebrating their Christmas meeting at the Old Jail in Carlisle.

December 11, 6:00 p.m., the Evening Circle will be going to the Country Club.

December 13, the Seekers Class will be hosting the annual Sweet Shop.  Proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

December 13, 6:00 p.m. our Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas service will be in the Old Brick Meeting House.  Everyone is invited.

December 24, 11 p.m.  - Midnight the Seekers Sunday School class will organize and host our annual Christmas Eve service.  Everyone is invited to attend.

December Meetings

General Meeting: Thursday, Dec. 3, 6 p.m., Christmas program with the Executive committee as hostess.

Webber-McDaniel Group: Tuesday, Dec. 8, 6 p.m., group participation for planned dinner in the Sidney Haviland room.

Circle of Sisters: Monday, Dec. 14, 6 p.m. with Tallu Smith as hostess. The program will be prayer partners.

Rees-Lebus Group: Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. at Biancke’s.

OAKLAND CHRISTIAN

Come and see the “Walk Through Bethlehem.” Over 150 of the Oakland Christian Church family re-create the city of Bethlehem, with its shops, sounds, sights as it might have been at the time of Jesus’ birth. 

This is an outside event, so dress warmly. First you will hear special singers inside the church, then you will be taken on a city tour for all ages.

Tours are between 5-8 p.m. each evening. Refreshments will be served. For more information or directions call 606-782-0930 or 859-654-6174.

RADIO MINISTRY

“The Hour of Power” Radio Ministry, aired weekly on Saturday mornings on 90.7 FM (The Wind), at 10-11 a.m.

The Rev. Don Fryman will bring a message each week along with special music by various singers across Harrison County and surrounding counties.

ST. JAMES A.M.E.

Quarterly United Methodist fellowship service to benefit the scholarship fund will be held at St. James A.M.E. Church on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. A Christmas program will be presented by the churches.

UNION BAPTIST

Doug Day, Southern Gospel Evangelist, will be live in concert on Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at Union Baptist Church. This will be a special Christmas concert. Everyone is welcome. No admission.

UPPER ROOM GOSPEL

Robert Means of Richmond, Ky., will be the guest speaker on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. at Upper Room Gospel Church, US 27 S. Everyone is welcome to attend.
