Claysville Christian Church will host an Ice Cream Social at the church on April 26 at 6:30 p.m. Music guests will be Three-for-One and the Marsh Family.




The Harrison County Ministerial Association (H.M.C.A.) will meet Tuesday, May 5 at noon at Biancke’s Restaurant, located on the corner of Main and Pleasant street.

There will be an election of officers of the H.M.C.A. to serve term for the 2009-2010 ministry year. Everyone is welcome to Please come and cast a vote for the leadership of this ministry.

The H.C.M.A. will host another Christian Music and Poetry Worship Service on Sunday, July 26 at 4 p.m. at Rohs Opera House. The event committee members are: the Rev. David Sabella, 859-234-5786 and the Rev. Mike Smith, 859-806-1730. We are looking choirs, soloists, musicians, poetry readers, and short play presentations. If you would like to participate in this event, contact one of the listed committee members.

The “I Pledge to be Drug Free Essay Scholarship,” contest winners will be announced at the May 11 meeting of Champions for a Drug Free Harrison County.

The Food Pantry is in need of volunteer workers and donations. Contact Sister Margaret Watson at 859-234-1649.

The Clothing Closet is still in need of volunteers to work on Mondays and Wednesdays, noon to 3:30 p.m. They are also in need of coats and other clothing in 2X and larger sizes. Contact Sister Linda McGowan at 859-234-1967.

Champions for a Drug Free Harrison County will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheriff’s office. All members of the H.C.M.A. are invited to this meeting. For more information contact Karen Adams at 859-234-0026.

National Day of Prayer Worship Service will be held at First Church of God, 401 Main St., Thursday, May 7 at noon. The Rev. Earl Litman, is the pastor.


A hymn sing will be performed on April 25 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Hour of Deliverance Chapel, located at 120 Second St.

Singers will be Don Powell, The Trents, Earl Gross of Paris, and John Rich.

The Rev. Don Fryman will bring a message each week along with special music by various singers across Harrison County and surrounding counties.
