Christmas Eve Service

Antioch Mills will continue with their traditional 10 p.m. Christmas Eve service with special music presented by Michael Cummins, Wayne Keith and ladies trio of Susan Keith, Kim McNabb and Becky White.

Senior Minister Evan Meyer will continue with his sermon series, Christmas at the Movies, as he will present a light-hearted message to celebrate Christmas in a unique way.

Join us for approximately 45 minutes and let the kids wear their pajamas so that they will be ready for bed when they get home.



Living Nativity Scene: The fourth annual “The Live Nativity Story” will be held at Calvary Assembly of God (across from high school), 325 Webster Ave., Friday and Saturday, Dec. 19 and 20 at 6:30 and 7:30 nightly.  Free cookies and hot chocolate will be served inside after each performance.

Pastor Dan Collard and  church family invites everyone to holiday activities planned for December at Calvary Assembly of God.

There will be no evening services at Calvary Assembly of God on Dec. 24 and Dec. 28.

Watch Night Service will be held at 10 p.m. on Dec. 31.

A reception for the Rev. Wayne Spivey and family will be held on Dec. 28 at Cynthiana Baptist Church, starting at 6 p.m. Friends of the family are invited.


Candlelight Communion Service

Cynthiana Christian Church, 202 N. Main St., invites the community to their Candlelight Communion Service, Wednesday, Dec. 24 beginning at 11 p.m.

The service of worship features an emphasis upon lighting candles representing the meaning of this significant season as well as sharing a time around the Lord’s table. Special music will be provided by the choir of the church under the direction of Dr. Beth Laytart. The service will be conducted by Dr. Timothy Teater and Dr. Larry Bishop.

The service is one of the special services of the church year and is very well attended by both members of the church and persons in the community.



There will be an open communion on Wednesday, Dec. 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Elmarch United Methodist Church. Bring the family and invite a friend.

The Christmas program, “Listen To The Lambs,” will be presented Sunday, Dec. 21 during the 11 a.m. service at Elmarch United Methodist Church.


“Simply Christmas,” a Christmas drama, will be presented Sunday, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. at Lair Methodist Church. A candlelight service and refreshments will follow the program. Everyone is welcome to attend.


Jerry Hatton of Eubank, Ky., will be the guest speaker on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. at Upper Room Gospel Church, US 27 S. Everyone is welcome to attend.


“The Hour of Power” Radio Ministry, aired weekly on Saturday mornings on 90.7 FM (The Wind), at 10-11 a.m.

The Rev. Don Fryman will bring a message each week along with special music by various singers across Harrison County and surrounding counties.
