Berry United Methodist Church will host a bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Cynthiana Walmart from 8  a.m. to 3 p.m., and also downtown Cynthiana at the Pulled Pork Cook Off, with a large variety of baked goods. We will close earlier if we sell out.

Berry United Methodist “Feeding the Flock Cook Book” will also be available.


An informal Christian Home Fellowship meets the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 6-8 p.m. for more information call Janet at 859-954-1145.



The Colemansville Church will be hosting a potluck dinner and Ice Cream Social on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m.  Weather permitting, we will have this event in our new outdoor pavilion. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy this time of fellowship, good food and music.

The Rev. Jim Erwin will conduct the services at Cynthiana Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Rev. Erwin was pastor of this church for 23 years. He recently retired from the Presbyterian Church in Stanford, Ky. and he and his wife Anne now reside in Danville.



The Elmarch United Methodist Church, corner of Old Lair and Elmarch, will have a yard and bake sale on Oct. 14 and 15. There will also be hot dogs and chili dogs for lunch.


Rev. William Gaunce and the Hour of Deliverance Chapel, along with the Earl Gross and Time of Harvest Ministries would like to welcome you to our monthly outreach ministry on the old courthouse grounds beginning at 6 p.m.

This month’s ministry will be held on Oct. 16.

The monthly hymn sing at the Hour of Deliverance Chapel at 120 Second Street, Cynthiana, will be held on Sunday evening, Oct. 17, beginning at 6 p.m. Every one in the community is invited to attend.

Living Hope Assembly of God will host their second annual pumpkin patch fundraiser, from Oct. 10 to Oct. 31.

Located at 138 Kellar Waits Lane (next to Northside Elementary off US 27 North), the pumpkin patch will be open from noon to 8 p.m. daily.

Admission is free and includes a petting farm, corn maze, crafts for kids, story time and hay rides (from 6-8 p.m. on weekends).

Concessions are available.

Pumpkins and gourds will be on sale, with all the proceeds benefiting the ministries of Living Hope.

Large groups, including schools and churches, are welcome.

Solid Ground will be in concert at Oddville Christian Church on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. Everyone welcome to attend.



October Meetings

Oct. 7: First United Methodist Women’s General meeting, 6 p.m. at the church. Hostess will be the Circle of Sisters and the program will be by Virgie Wells.

Oct. 11: Circle of Sisters meeting, 6:30 p.m. with hostess Gail Owens. The program will be presented by Toni Sorrell.

Oct. 12: Webber-McDaniel Group meeting, 7 p.m. with hostess Jan Hiday and the program by Vivian Smith.

Oct. 20: Rees-Lebus Group meeting at noon at Biancke’s.


Sunday night activities will include children’s choir, youth hour, the connect program and Sunday night bible study “on the Hill.”

Trunk or treat will be on Oct. 30.

Wednesday night activities will include a body and soul light supper at 6 p.m., adult bible study at 7 p.m. and choir practice at 7 p.m.

The TNT (Tuesday Night Teen) program will be every Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Sunday morning services include early worship at 8:45 a.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m. and late worship at 11 a.m.
