We will be taking orders for Angel Food at Central Christian Church on July 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and July 17 from 9:30-11 a.m.

Would you like a medium sized box of groceries for $30? Then order Angel Food. The average retail for this food is $50. It includes fresh, frozen, and dry goods items. Angel Food is not just for low income people.

it’s for everyone who would like to save at the grocery store. Cash, check and food stamps are accepted.

Cynthiana First Church of God, located at 401 N. Main St., will host vacation bible school for ages 3 years to fifth grade on Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The theme will be “Christmas in July.”

Please join us for a fun filled day of lessons, crafts and games. Lunch will be served. A V.B.S. offering will support Operation Christmas Child.


It’s Vacation Bible School at Cynthiana Baptist Church like you’ve never experiencedbefore. Children age 3 through completed fifth grade are admitted free from Monday -Friday, July 26-30, 6-8:30 p.m.

Families will be invited to Sunday evening service at 5:30 p.m. at Little Switzerland Church Park for the ultimate in recreation games, OMC (Organized Mass Chaos), followed by food and fellowship.

Helena United Methodist Church will host a motorcycle show on Saturday, July 17 at 4 p.m.

There will be prizes, blessing of the bikes and  a cookout.

The Rev. William Gaunce and The Hour of Deliverance Chapel along with Earl Gross and Time Of Harvest ministries invites the community and the community churches to join in on the county courthouse lawn beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 for a community wide praise and worship service. Bring your lawn chairs.

A hymn sing will be held Sunday, July 25 at 6 p.m. at the church, 120 Second St.

The Christian Women’s Fellowship will sponsor a yard sale for the Old Union Christian Church on Friday. July 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 6856 Russell Cave Rd., Lexington. Rain or shine.

Donated items may be brought to the church starting the week of July 18.
