BERRY UNITED

METHODIST

Berry United Methodist will hold a bake sale at Wal-Mart in Cynthiana on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or when sold out. Everyone welcome.

CLAYSVILLE CHRISTIAN

Claysville Christian Church will host a bingo on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Biancke’s at 10:30 a.m.

COLEMANSVILLE

CHRISTIAN

A revival meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 8-11 at Colemansville Christian Church. Bro. Lynn White, pastor of Salem Church of Christ, will be the guest evangelist.

Special music will be featured at each service, including John Rich, the Strawzell Family, Earl Gross, the Mattox Family, and others.

Services will begin nightly at 7 p.m.  The Oct. 11 Sunday worship service will begin at 11 a.m., and will be followed by a potluck dinner at noon.

Pastor Jim Mitchell and the congregation welcomes everyone to attend. The church is located one and one-half miles west of Berry on KY 1054.

CYNTHIANA CHRISTIAN

The Christian Women’s Fellowship of the Cynthiana Christian Church (202 N. Main Street) will have a church-wide yard sale Saturday, Oct. 10 from 8 a.m.-Noon in Bish Hall.

We invite and encourage everyone to stop by the church early for best selection and then plan to stay for chili-dogs and all the fixins’, as well as for some additional home-made treats.

CYNTHIANA PRESBYTERIAN

The Cynthiana Presbyterian Church will be holding its 10th annual Pig Roast and Auction on Friday, Oct. 23 beginning at 5 p.m. Please join in for hickory-smoked pork, baked beans, slaw and dessert and the auction.

Tickets may be purchased at the door for $6 per person, children six and under free. All proceeds to benefit the Capital Improvement Fund.

LAIR METHODIST

The Lair Methodist Church will be holding a revival on Oct. 5-9. The Rev. Darrell Marshall from Fleming County will be the evangelist. Special singing each night at 6:30 p.m.

Monday: Carole Jean Cole; Tuesday: Sue Mattox; Wednesday: Megan Crouse; Thursday: Jim Caskey; and Friday: freshments at 6:30 and The Bluegrass Gospel Travelers at 7 p.m. with the service to follow. Everyone is invited.

LIVING HOPE

PUMPKIN PATCH

The Living Hope Assembly of God will have a pumpkin patch open to the public from Oct. 12-31, 12-8 p.m. daily.

There will be pumpkins, gourds and fall decorations available for purchase at 138 Kellar Waits Lane, next to Northside Elementary.

Webber-McDaniel Group: Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. Hostess will be Jan Hiday and the program will be by Vivian Smith.

Circle of Sisters: Monday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. with Gail Owens as the hostess. The program will be on the bazaar crafts.

Rees-Lebus Group: Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. Meet at Biancke’s.

NEW FRIENDSHIP

A revival will be held at New Friendship Baptist Church Oct. 4-7 with Bro. Scottie McDowell, chalk artist evangelist of Louisiana.

Everyone is welcome.

Services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. and at 7 p.m.

OLD UNION CHRISTIAN

The annual Lord’s Auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at Old Union Christian Church.

Dedication of gifts will be at 10:45 a.m. and the auction will begin at 11 a.m. Donations of all kinds are appreciated. Items to be auctioned range from homemade cakes and funiture to quilts and homegrown produce.

RADIO MINISTRY

“The Hour of Power” Radio Ministry, aired weekly on Saturday mornings on 90.7 FM (The Wind), at 10-11 a.m.

The Rev. Don Fryman will bring a message each week along with special music by various singers across Harrison County and surrounding counties.

WAGONERS CHAPEL

The annual Homecoming will be held at Wagoner’s Chapel Church on Sunday, Oct. 4. Morning worship at 11 a.m., potluck lunch begins at 12:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
