The Well will be starting back on Wednesday, Sept. 1.  The meal will be at 6 followed by Adult Bible study at 7. There will be a Fall Kick-off for all youth with a hayride, games, bonfire, smores and time for worship.  Please come and join us.


Berry Christian Church will host a revival Sept. 19-22 at 6 p.m. Gospel music and an inspiring message by Bob Highchew of Southfork Christian Church.

Highchew has been the senior minister of South Fork since 1996, and served in the Marines from 1985-1993.

A potluck dinner will be Sunday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. and an ice cream social will be Sept. 22. Plan to attend and bring family and friends.

A World Trade Center Rescue program will be held Sunday, Sept. 5 at 10:45 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God.

Jason Thomas, a former U.S. Marine who located and rescued people after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in New York City, and David W. Karnes, also a former Marine), helped find a pair of Port Authority Police officers buried in the rubble of the World Trade Center. Thomas will share his experience on that fateful day. He also played a role in the 2006 movie World Trade Center and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He resides in Columbus with his wife and five children.

Everyone is welcome to attend. All local first responders and military persons will be given front row seating. A shuttle service will also be available, and an offering will be received.

Remember the two-day church yard sale this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3 and 4,  being held at the Colemansville Church.

All contributions of household items, clothing, dishes, collectibles, etc. will be gratefully accepted.

September meetings

Sept. 2: First United Methodist Women’s General meeting, 6 p.m. in the Sydney Haviland Room. Hostess will be Webber McDaniel  and the Circle Of Sisters. The program will be County Wide meeting “Ladies September    Night Out.”

Sept. 7: Webber-McDaniel Group, 7 p.m. with Trudy Mcguire and Irene Mynear serving as hostess. The program will be presented by Trudy Mcguire.

Sept. 13: Circle Of Sisters, 6:30 p.m. Hostess will be Ann Hall, and the program will be on the bazaar crafts.

Sept. 15: Rees-Lebus Group, 1 p.m. at Biancke’s.



The Harrison County United Methodist Churches Sunday School Convocation will be held Sunday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist, Locust Street.

The event will be an update from the Kentucky Methodist Home for Children and Youth, special music, and the guest speaker will be Steve Moses.
