It’s Christmas time in Harrison County and there’s many angels on this year’s tree.
Part of the Christmas Angels program, the Family Resource Center is hoping the community will help make wishes come true for over 500 children.
“I think it’s very important for us as individuals to give back to those that aren’t as fortunate,” said Vicki Faulkner, assistant coordinator at the Family Resource Center.
And the Christmas Angels program does just that.
Each angel ornament displayed on the tree at the Community Education Center lists one child’s Christmas list.
It’s a list that isn’t always guaranteed without the Christmas Angels program, Faulkner said.
Those adopting an angel are responsible for purchasing gifts for the child (who remains anonymous), within a suggested $50 limit.
