Senior hurler Christian Chasteen allowed only four hits and one run Tuesday evening on the Hilltop as the Thorobreds went to 10-2 for the year with a 6-1 win over Bishop Brossart.

The Mustangs began the day with a fine 11-2 season record and are among the teams thought to be a challenger for the region crown this year.

They were able to jump out on top as they plated their only run in the second as three singles sandwiched around a fielder’s choice sent third baseman Anthony Steffen in to score.

The singles were all to left field, two of them barely getting past the outstretched gloves of the Harrison County infielders.
