The investigation into an early Saturday morning accident that had one man airlifted is still underway.
Jose Hernandez Manzanilla, 21, of Falmouth, was traveling south on U.S. 27 North at the Harrison/Pendleton County line shortly after 1 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.
According to Harrison County Sheriffs Deputy Dean Hutchison, Manzanillas 1999 Ford Ranger dropped off the right shoulder of the highway. He apparently over-corrected causing the vehicle to spin sideways and go over an embankment into a field.
Hutchison said the truck rolled numerous times, ending up on its top.
Manzanilla was wearing his seat belt. The Harrison County Fire Department had to remove him from the vehicle.
A University of Kentucky Air Care helicopter was called to the scene and set down on U.S. 27. Manzanilla was released from the hospital on Tuesday.
Hutchison said Manzanilla may be facing possible criminal charges pending completion of the investigation.
In addition to the Harrison County Fire Department, Hutchison was also assisted at the scene by Brown Ambulance, Pendleton County Sheriff and Kentucky State Police.
