A 34-year-old Cynthiana woman changed her plea just days before a jury trial was to be held in Harrison Circuit Court.
Carrie Sievers entered a guilty plea to eight counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument on Feb. 4.
Judge Jay Delaney sentenced Sievers to five years in prison on each of the eight counts with her jail time to run concurrent with each count as well as with another Harrison County case where Sievers is charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. The judge also set the sentence to run concurrent with charges in Anderson, Fayette and Woodford counties.
Sievers was indicted by a Harrison County grand jury on Dec. 1 for events that occurred in January 2009.
