Members of Central Christian Church gathered to box up food Saturday morning.
“It’s such a blessing to people,” said member Lavaughn Maybrier.
The church’s blessing is part of the national Angel Food Ministries project, which buys and sells food items to families at half the price.
“If you can buy enough food to feed a family of four for $30, that’s a great deal,” Maybrier said.
Church members worked in assembly lines Saturday morning to pack food boxes that were picked up by area residents.
