Central Christian Church held its VBS the week of June 3. They averaged 57 children per night. The mission for the week was a challenge to the children to bring food donations for the Cynthiana Food Pantry each night. They were also told about a little girl named Kaylee Harris who is taking chemo for Leukemia. They decided to give all monetary donations to her and her family to help with expenses. Thanks to the children’s giving spirit, they were able to collect enough money to help ease the family’s burden and three totes of food for the Food Pantry were donated. Presenting the donation to Terri Harris (Kaylee’s grandmother) is, from left, Sandy Ritchie (VBS director), Terri Harris, Justin Northcutt, youth minister, and Faye Ritchie (VBS director).
