One barn is a total loss after a Thursday morning car accident.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and Harrison County Fire Department units responded to a car accident on Connersville Pike at approximately 11:30 a.m.

An employee of the Georgetown Frank Shoop car dealership, Adam Smith, 21, was traveling toward Cynthiana when he left the road and ran into a barn.

After colliding with the barn, the vehicle, a 2008 Pontiac G8 owned by the car dealership, caught on fire.

The barn and hay inside also caught on fire.

The barn was owned by Wince Lee from Georgetown.
