For the first time in the 45 year history of the Burley Belles Golf Tournament rain was the winner and the Cynthiana Country Club and the best of central Kentucky’s lady golfers lost out.
“It was too wet to even play on Sunday,” said Cynthiana Country Club Grounds Superintendent Mike Lenox.
“We had 62 or 63 entries ready to go but the course just was unplayable,” noted Kay Cox, the Burley Belles chairperson.
