Build it and they will come

-A A +A
By Lee Kendall

I really don’t have an axe to grind. I know money is tight for everyone right now, including our local government entities, but for the life of me, I don’t understand why upgrading our local recreation facilities has taken such a back seat.

How long has it been since we have had a public swimming pool? I know that the democratic process is deliberate and plodding, but if we go much slower with the promise of a new recreation facility on the Handy Farm, now know at Flat Run Veterans’ Park, we’ll actually go back in time.
