Christy Marie Brosey, Cynthiana, daughter of Donald and Lisa Brosey, and Jason Andrew Wathen, Georgetown, Ky., son of Mrs. Pamela Bell and William Wathen of Bowling Green, Ky., exchanged vows April 30, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the King officiated by Father Gino Donatelli. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Don Brosey.
The bride wore a Diamond White Satin ball gown with diamond and crystal bead work with a cathedral length train. She wore a two tiered veil and handmade crystal jewelry given to her from her grandmother and carried a spring bouquet of multi-colored tulips.
Matron of honor was Beth Bennett, sister of the bride of Paris, Ky. She wore a canary yellow strapless satin ball gown and carried a spring bouquet of Tulips.
Bridesmaids were Mindy Miller of Cynthiana, best friend of the bride and Cindy Miller of Georgetown, sister of the bride. They also wore canary yellow strapless satin ball gowns.
The flower girls were Olivia Miller and Abby Joslin, both wore a white satin tea-length ball gown with yellow sashes and tiaras.
David Miller of Lexington, best friend of the groom, served as the best man.
Ushers were Christopher Bennett, brother-in-law of the bride, and Cody Bell, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Nick Wilczek and Nick Horseman, friends of the groom.
A reception was held at Cathedral of Christ the King in Heham Hall.
The couple honeymooned in Aruba and are residing in Georgetown, Ky.
Brosey is a 2002 graduate of Harrison County High School and a 2007 graduate of Sullivan University with MBA in Human Resource Management. She is employed by Bluegrass Care and Rehab, Lexington, as a Human Resource Director.
Wathen is a 1996 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and is attending BCTCS receiving a degree in Education. He is employed by Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Mt. Sterling, Ky., as an assistant general manager.
