-A A +A
By Mike Aldridge

The weather Saturday mirrored the 2014 season as the Region 4, Class AA track meet was delayed for 90 minutes due to rain and lightning. Thanks to hard work of the coaches and volunteers, a quality event was staged.
Highlands defeated defending champion Lexington Catholic in the girls’ meet by a narrow 154-to-147 margin.  Western Hills had 84 points to finish third follow closely by Harrison County with 80 points.
Franklin County, Scott, Holmes, Pendleton County and Bourbon County also competed though neither the Lady Cats nor Lady Colonels scored.
