Breds, Fillies make showing in tennis regionals

The Harrison County doubles team of Seth Barnes and Hank Whalen are the only local entrants still alive in the boys and girls regional tennis tournament at Georgetown College. Weather permitting, the two Harrison County seniors played in the third and fourth rounds on Wednesday, and if successful, will play in the finals this afternoon.

The Breds duo, third seeded in the tournament, had little trouble in their first round on Monday. After a first round bye, they dispatched Jacob Heller and Harrison Applegate of St. Patrick in the second round, in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
