The motto of Harrison County Thorobred baseball is, and has been for decades, "A Matter of Pride." That motto rang true once again last weekend as the 2008 version of the Thorobreds became the eighth team in Harrison County history to make it to the final phase of the state baseball tournament.
Prior to the 2003 season, Harrison County made it to the "Final Four" six times. The Breds won state titles in 1993, 1997 and 1998, were runners-up in 1984 and 1987 and were knocked out in the first game in 1996.
