Breds drop hard-fought sub-state match at Boone County 1-0

-A A +A
By Mike Aldridge

The Harrison County Thorobreds soccer team made its first trip to the sub-state a memorable one by battling Boone County tooth and nail before dropping a 1-0 verdict Tuesday night in Florence.
Showing remarkable school spirit, two pep buses, much of the football and basketball teams and hundreds of other supporters made the trek to northern Kentucky to support the history-making team.
The game was scoreless for the first half though it seemed to be played for the longest time on the Harrison County end.
