It took them a couple of innings to get started, but the Harrison County Thorobreds finally got going and upended Deming 12-2 in the rain-delayed opening round of the 38th District Tournament on Tuesday night in Falmouth.
The top-seeded Breds, now 29-5 on the season, scored three times in the third inning and added seven more in the fourth to distance themselves from the fourth-seeded Black Devils (8-18) and secure a spot in next weeks 10th Region Tournament, at Harrison County.
