Bourbon inmate ‘person of interest’ in local burglaries

An inmate from Bourbon County Detention Center who was out on work release is one of two people being looked at for burglaries in western Harrison County.

Det. Paul Olin, of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, said 27-year-old Jason Shipwash and 30-year-old Chris Wood are “persons of interest” in four burglaries the department is investigating.

Shipwash was allegedly out on work release from Bourbon County when the burglaries took place.

Olin said evidence from the burglaries, including a safe and some firearms, has been recovered.
