The 40-year-old Pendleton County man who has been charged with wanton murder in the death of Commonwealth Attorney Doug Wright remains in jail under a $750,000 bond.
During an arraignment on June 29 in Kenton County Circuit Court, Judge Gregory M. Bartlett denied Daniel Keith Gabbard’s request to reduce the bond. Gabbard, who has entered a not guilty plea, is represented by Erik Deters of Independence.
According to the Pendleton Court Circuit Clerk’s office, a status hearing will be held Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. in Pendleton Circuit Court.
