The Harrison County Board of Education wants to take a closer look at Monday early dismissals before approving the 2008-2009 school year calendar.
At least that was the message it sent at its meeting Tuesday when director of pupil personnel Lloyd Ogden presented the calendar.
The calendar had the required 177 school days encompassing 1,090 instructional hours. The state minimum is 1,062 instructional hours.
As proposed, the calendar was similar to this years.
