Charges are pending against three juveniles and one adult, who were allegedly involved in the recent defacing of property at River Road Park.

Cynthiana Ptl. David Powers said a black permanent marker was used to write profanities and draw illicit pictures on picnic and scorers’ tables, benches, trash cans, playground equipment and the concrete walks last Wednesday night.

He said he is still trying to get a true assessment of the damages because of the work that has to go into making repairs.

“It was kids’ stuff that causes trouble for someone else,” Powers said.

That trouble may soon be for the perpetrators. Powers said he intends to charge the individuals with felony charges.
