The Harrison County man who was charged in the April 13 shooting of his girlfriend's stepfather, now faces a two-count indictment.
Catesby Bramel, 27, was indicted by a Harrison County grand jury on charges of first degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
The grand jury alleges that Bramel "intentionally caused serious physical injury to Jay Tackett by shooting him with a handgun."
Bramel will be arraigned in Harrison Circuit Court on June 17 at 9 a.m. His bond is $10,000.
