Sam Arnold filed his petition with the Kentucky Secretary of State seeking the position of Circuit Court Family Judge for the 18th Judicial District which includes Harrison, Pendleton, Nicholas and Robertson counties.

A family court judge has jurisdiction over divorces, child custody, visitation, adoption, domestic violence, child dependency, neglect and abuse proceedings.

“People appearing in family court are experiencing stressful and difficult times,” Arnold said. “They are entitled to compassion and understanding. They want due process without protracted or unnecessary proceedings. They are anxious to have timely decisions and a resolution to their conflicts as many are in search of a new beginning or a healing family.”

Since opening his law office in Cynthiana in 1972, Arnold’s practice has consisted of representing clients throughout Central Kentucky before all courts, governmental agencies, departments and boards.

“Based upon my 42 years of practice of law, much of which has involved domestic disputes and related matters, I have the knowledge, understanding and ability to assist those individuals who are suffering from significant and profound problems. I believe my experience as a lawyer has prepared me to make wise decisions for the benefit of the parties, their families and their lawyers.”

Arnold is the father of three children, Sam IV (Sheila), Russ (Crystal) and Anne (R.J. Ratliff). He has four grandchildren, Catron, Campbell, Keagon and John Russell. He is the son of Johnnie Arnold and the late Sam W. Arnold Jr.

“I am pleased with the practice, however, there has not been a day that passes for some years now that I have not considered becoming a family court judge. Now is the time. I ask the voters of Harrison, Pendleton, Nicholas and Robertson counties to support my candidacy on election day, May 20, 2014 by voting for me as your Family Court Judge.”
