Luke Graves has been selected to represent Harrison County High School in the KMEA All-State Symphonic Band. Graves will sit fourth chair trombone in what is considered the top instrumental ensemble in the state. “We are extremely proud of Luke and his accomplishments,” said HCHS director John Merz. “He has worked very hard. If you get an opportunity to see Luke, please join me in congratulating him on this fine accomplishment.” The All-State bands are seated through an intensive two-part live audition process. The first audition taking place at the district level and the final audition coming at the state level. The All-State bands will convene in conjunction with the KMEA In-Service conference in Louisville beginning on Feb. 5 and culminating with the All-State Band and Orchestra concerts on Saturday, Feb. 8.
