Ethan W. Prows, son of Jerry and Debbie Prows of Cynthiana, was recently named to the University of Northwestern Ohio’s October 2009 dean’s list in the College of Technologies.
Full-time students must receive a grade point average of 3.5 or better to earn the designation.
Prows is a 2009 graduate of Harrison County High School.
Samantha Shirley was recently named a national semifinalist for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
Shirley was one of approximately 70,000 seniors from across the United States to apply for the program and one of 2,200 seniors picked as a semifinalist. She is among the top two percent of seniors that applied for the Coca-Cola Scholarship this year.
Shirley will be among those high school seniors considered for one of the 250 national finalists’ scholarships.
Each year the Coca−Cola Scholars Foundation awards a total of $3 million in achievement-based four-year college scholarships to 250 outstanding high school seniors from communities across the nation.
Shirley is a senior at Harrison County High School and is the daughter of Greg and DeDe Shirley.
