The proposal for a four percent revenue increase in the Harrison County School’s general budget will add about $181,000 to the school’s bottom line, according to Superintendent Andy Dotson.
The extra revenue, however, will not keep the school system from dipping into its contingency fund in order to maintain all its programs for the coming year, he said.
The proposal follows a four percent revenue increase that the Board of Education approved in the 2013-14 budget.
