28 years working + four robberies equals retirement for Philpot

After 28 years in the banking industry and being a victim of four robberies, Christine Philpot was ready to retire.

She had looked down the barrel of a Saturday Night Special, been shut inside the bank's vault, told if she pushed a button it would be her last, and with the last robbery told, "I'm sorry I made a bad day for you ladies," after he had helped himself to the contents of the cash drawer.

Yes, Philpot said, it was time to retire. On May 9, she did just that.

"I loved my job," she said.
