Nearly 275 Harrison County citizens attended the 10th annual Extension Leadership Event on Monday, March 18 at the Harrison County High School. Following a meal, the group heard an inspirational talk given by Amber Philpott, news anchor for WKYT-TV (Channel 27). Following Philpott’s talk, the Harrison County Extension group awarded eight new Extension Hall of Fame members which included: from left, Bobby Craft, Judy Morris, Susan Hayes, Louann Fryman, Paul Tucker, William H. Roberts. Absent from photo were Ginny Tucker, Gaye Marsh and Judy Feeback. The local group also awarded the Community Partner award, which went to a local business or organization for outstanding support for Extension programs. This year’s winner was the Harrison County United Fund. Judy Feeback was in attendance to accept the award. Special thanks to all who worked and planned the event and to the Harrison County School for allowing the event to be held in the cafeteria.
