A Pendleton County jury has recommended a 20-year prison sentence for convicted murderer Daniel Keith Gabbard.
Gabbard was found guilty last week of wanton murder in a three-day trial that ended on Thursday.
Gabbard was charged following the June 8 traffic death of Commonwealth Attorney Doug Wright. Gabbard was driving while intoxicated and was also convicted on two counts of DUI -- one was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants and the other was operating a commercial vehicle while under the influence.
